Unexplainable Love!

“He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities:  the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.  All we like sheep have gone astray”  Isaiah 53:5-6.

Today I am moved by God’s amazing love for me, for us, described in Isaiah Chapter 53!  My tears swell up as I reflect upon how much Jesus and His Father gave up for you and me, and how often we are willing to give up so little for Him!  After his great sacrifice here on earth, Jesus asked us to do just ONE thing!  All He asked us to do was to go tell someone else about what He did for us, so that they also may be saved.  Of all the things the Son of God could have asked us, He only asked us to do this one thing, “GO TELL.”  So that my sacrifice may not be in vain, “Go tell.”  “Go tell,”  someone else that I loved them so, so, much, that I died for them, so that they would not have to die and they could have eternal life.

This year at the Emmanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church, our theme is to “Go Tell in 2012.”  My prayer is that all of us will be moved by Christ’s great sacrifice and do the ONE thing he asked us to do, “Go Tell.”

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matthew 28:19-20, KJV).”
